Collaborations

Graphic Studio Dublin has a long history of collaborating with various institutions since it was founded in 1960. Below is a list of some of the institutions Graphic Studio Dublin has collaborated with in it's recent history.


The National Gallery of Ireland

Art into Art in 1998 (which had the largest recorded footfall of any exhibition held in the National Gallery up to that point and was the first time living artists' works were displayed there) and Revelation in 2008.

Chester Beatty Library

Holy Show in 2002, Gardens of Earthly Delight in 2004 and Artist's Proof in 2009.

Behaviour & Attitudes

An annual award winning commission started in 1988, Graphic Studio Dublin and Behaviour & Attitudes have won a number of collaboration awards since this series of print commissions started.

Centre Culturel Irlandais

For the exhibition Île d'Hiver | Winter Island, Director of the Centre Culturel Irlandais in Paris, France, Sheila Pratschke, selected thirteen Graphic Studio Dublin artists and asked them to make contemporary fine art prints in response to the Irish artefacts in the extensive collections in the National Museum of Ireland. When the Director of the National Museum of Ireland, Dr. Pat Wallace, was asked how he would describe what comprises the museum's collections he said that the Museum holds the material culture of all the peoples who have ever lived on the island of Ireland.

Edinburgh Printmakers

International Printmakers Residencies

The 2012 Residency at The Red Stables Studios has been taken up by Swedish artist Lina Nordenström. Lina will have an exhibition in Graphic Studio Gallery in November 2012 with fellow Swedish artist Lars Nyberg.

The 2009 Residency is in conjunction with Edinburgh Printmakers and Dublin City Council at Red Stables Studios. A Scottish based artist, Paul Furneaux, will be Artist-in-Residence at Graphic Studio Dublin/Red Stables during summer 2009.
