Garry Coyle

A Graduate of NCAD & RCA London. Gary Coyle works in a variety of different media, Photography , Spoken word performance & Drawing . Recent Group shows include “Joyce In Art”. MHKA Antwerp 2018. “Post Picturesque, Photographing Ireland” Perlman Museum Minnesota, USA 2017.  “2116. Forecast of the Next Century” Glucksman Gallery Cork & Broad Museum,  Michigan State University  2016.  “Second Look, David Kronn Collection”, IMMA Dublin 2014. He has been awarded numerous Awards & Bursaries , including Arts Council of Ireland Projects Awards 2005, 2006, 2018,  Arts Council Of Ireland Bursaries  2001. 2003, 2009, 2013.A Henry Moore Foundation Fellowship , 1995,  RHA & Irish US Council for Commerce Portrait award  2007 Davy Portrait Award winner 2008.He was elected a member of the RHA 2005, & Aodana 2009.

His recent  solo exhibition’s  include , On returning , The Lexicon Dun Laoghaire 2021 , Dreaming  Different Dreams , The Kevin Kavanagh Gallery, Dublin 2020  ,Now Still Came Evening On , The Dock  in Carrick on Shannon in 2016. He also  wrote & performed a One man Spoken word show “ My Magnetic North “   which was presented at The Project, Dublin 2018.  He is currently working on a commissions for the  Museum Of Irish Literature, Dublin  due in 2022
