'Hanga' - Etchings by Yoko Hara & Takahiko Hayashi

Yoko Hara was born in Japan in 1968. She is an exciting young artist who received her Masters degree in painting and printmaking from Musashino Art University, outside Tokyo.

Takahiko Hayashi was born in 1961, in Japan. Hayashi received a BFA from Musashino Art University and an MFA in printmaking from the National University of Fine Arts and Music in Tokyo.

'Mappa Mundi' - New Topographical Etchings

Mappa Mundi is taken from a great medieval map of the known world, created in Britain in the thirteenth century, in part geographic and in part a work of the imagination. This, to some degree, reflects Lalors approach to landscape, a combination of the factual and the interpretative.

This set of prints is a recent development taken from various past projects where flowers are used as a basis for memory or loss. They are momento mori, memories for dearly departed, for the loss of children and other personal relationships, and as memorials for public political crimes.
