Pressed - Exhibition of Contemporary Print
Venue: Concourse, County Hall, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire, Co. Dublin

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is delighted to present 'Pressed', an exhibition of contemporary printmaking curated by Graphic Studio Dublin.

The exhibition provides a unique opportunity to engage with a wide range of rich and evocative fine art works created by print practitioners living in, working in or originally from Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown; or who have trained as an artist in a college in the County.

Following a careful selection process, twenty-two diverse artists were chosen to participate so that the full length and breath of printmaking could be explored and a broad range of technical methods and creative interpretations displayed in the exhibition.

From age-old techniques such as woodcut and etching to innovative contemporary methods in digital printmaking, these accomplished artists have explored the aesthetic possibilities in subject matter varying from flora to figurative and everything in-between.

The result is an inspiring exhibition which clearly demonstrates the technical competency and imaginative flair of artists who have long honed their craft in order to establish clear creative identities and produce unique original art works that are all at once well conceived, carefully crafted and beautifully executed.

'Pressed' showcases the following artists: Jean Bardon, Gerard Cox, Grainne Cuffe, Aisling Dolan, Cliona Doyle, Joe Dunne, Aoife Dwyer, Susan Early, Camilla Fanning, Mary A. Fitzgerald, Clare Henderson, Ann Kavanagh, David Lunney, Kate MacDonagh, Brett McEntagart, Patricia Melo, Ed Miliano, Ruth O'Donnell, Sarah Rogers, Mario Sughi, Michael Timmins and Linda Uhlemann.

The exhibition includes a mediation programme of talks, workshops, demonstrations and lectures. See Here for more details
