Born in Dublin in 1967, Susan is and Architect & Printmaker. She became a member of Graphic Studio Dublin in 2012 where she makes etchings in drypoint and aquatint. She is a member of The Watercolour Society of Ireland. Susan has exhibited nationally and in Europe, Canada and the USA and her work features in private and public collections including Fingal County Council, University of Limerick and National Botanic Gardens.
In October 2017, Susan exhibited with Elke Thonnes in Graphic Studio Gallery. Her work in ‘Shore’ was reviewed by Aidan Dunne in The Irish Times: ‘Her aquatint etchings are firmly anchored to place, usually though not always locations in Dublin Bay, and rigorous in their detailed observational exactitude. She excels at conveying the feeling of the inhabited shoreline: rugged, well-worn, battered – but also scrubbed and scoured and made anew. Her panoramic views are especially eye-catching.’
