Daniel Lipstein

Daniel Lipstein is an artist working across the disciplines of printmaking, painting, and poetry. His practice is rooted in nature and landscape, expressed through compositions that strive for visual balance, energy, and emotional resonance. While his works often appear simple and harmonious on the surface, they are intended to reveal deeper metaphysical themes upon prolonged observation—gestures toward the essence of being and the underlying principles of existence.

Born in Tel Aviv, Lipstein moved to Dublin in 1983. He graduated from the Fine Art Print faculty of the National College of Art and Design (NCAD), Dublin, in 2006, receiving the CAP Foundation Award, which enabled him to present a solo exhibition of large-scale paintings. He went on to complete an MA in Fine Art at NCAD in 2009.

Since the late 1990s, following a career in natural medicine, he has fully dedicated himself to visual art. His work draws on mythical-visual narratives and atmospheric impressions from his dreams, creating images that are both personal and archetypal.

Lipstein’s work is held in numerous public and private collections across Ireland, Europe, the USA, Israel, and Australia.
