Variations on a Theme
Artists Jean Bardon, Gráinne Cuffe, Stephen Lawlor, Ruth O'Donnell & Paula Pohli

The starting point of a series is like the start of a journey, a journey through which the artist explores, discovers and develops a theme or an idea. Over a period of time this journey evolves, transforming into what we view as a body of work, constantly changing yet keeping the essence of its theme throughout.

The exhibition 'Variations on a Theme' showcases a selection of artists whose work has developed into a sequence of prints, each image emerging through their process of thematic exploration.

Over months, years or decades these prints have been exhibited individually and for this exhibition the series will be shown as a collective, showing the development of an idea from inception to completion.

Artists Jean Bardon, Gráinne Cuffe, Stephen Lawlor, Ruth O'Donnell and Paula Pohli will be exhibiting their works and the exhibition will run for three weeks.
